Function:

ADSS preformed tension clamp is mainly used for ADSS cable line’s fixing and anchoring. It is usually installed on the terminal tower, tension tower and intersection angle tower or pole.

Feature: The grip strength of preformed tension clamp can reach over 95% of the cable’s RTS. No stress concentration and vibration stress.

Components: Inner reinforcing rods, outer rods, thimble, etc.

Customers can choose linking fittings according to the requirements of design, such as U-shackle, clevis, chain link, etc.

Material of inner reinforcing rods and outer rods: Galvanized steel wire or Aluminum-clad wire.

E.g.: ADSS cable diameter is 12.85mm, the required grip strength is 60KN, the
model no. will be SHN-A1285/060.
Used “0” ahead when the number of cable diameter ×10 2 is less than 4 figures.
For example, ADSS cable diameter is 9.5mm, the required grip strength is
15KN, the model no. will be SHN-A0950/015.
If you use span to mark model no., you should change “/” to “-” and take
brackets after it, then mark the span in brackets, e.g.: SHN-AXXXX-(400M).
Pay attention to special reminding: if you use span to mark it you must give the
meteorology parameters of the environmental conditions such as the
maximum wind speed, the maximum ice coating, and temperature (the
maximum and the minimum)
** The length of inner and outer rods is subject to the practical length of
product supplied.
Notice: The above table just lists partial model parameters. Before ordering
products, you should confirm the diameter, and the RTS of the cable, then you
can know the product model no. of the tension clamp. The usage range ofcable diameter in the model parameters allows a certain tolerance. According
to the relevant technical regulations in China, the grip strength of ADSS
tension clamp must reach over 75% of cable’s RTS.
If the cable’s RTS is big, but the required operating tension is small, we can
choose the grip strength for tension clamp according to practical needs.
E.g.: ADSS cable diameter is 13.60mm, the RTS is 62.5 KN, required grip
strength is 75% of the RTS, the method to confirm the model no. is:13.60×10 2 =1360
62.5×75% =46.875≈47 (KN)
So model no. of tension clamp is SHN-A1360/047.
E.g.: ADSS cable diameter is 12.85mm, the RTS is 55.4 KN, required grip
strength is 95% of the RTS, the method to confirm the model no. is:
12.85×10 2 =1285
55.4×95% =52.63≈53 (KN)
So the model no. of tension clamp is SHN-A1285/053.
In order to make sure the well match of the tension clamp and optical cable,
the cable diameter, RTS, cable elastic modulus magnitude and required
materials of inner and outer rods must be provided.
